OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOESN’T TURN ON

For an electric stove does not ignite, check if the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas models. If the oven power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, it means a different part will need to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOESN’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven with no heat does not do much. Your oven won’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner won’t heat if an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to repair these common issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken if the program or timer functions aren’t working. In this case, we are able to replace control boards on LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and the replacement parts we use for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You need a hot oven. But not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it could be because of a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians can find the location of the issue and fix it. Be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter glows but doesn’t light. The cause is from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We can determine if we are able to repair these parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens sometimes have door problems. The door will not open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door does not open and then complete the repair so we can resolve the issue.
